Kenneth D. Anderson

TRUSTEE EMERITUS;
Former Chair of the Board of Trustees

A consulting actuary, Ken is a lifelong resident of Concord and a 1964 graduate of CCHS. He operates his own pension consulting firm in Concord. He has served on various town committees, most recently the Council on Aging Board, of which he was chair for two years. He has extensive experience with youth sports, both as a coach and as a member of the boards for Concord-Carlisle Youth Baseball (Secretary) and Concord-Carlisle Friends of Football, Inc. (Treasurer). He currently serves on the Concord Conservatory of Music board.  Ken and his wife Lynda have three children, all graduates of CCHS. John Sweeney

Trustee;
Treasurer of the board of trustees 

John Sweeney will become its Treasurer in 2024. A graduate of Holy Cross and Cornell, John Sweeney is the founder and managing partner of Momentum Capital Partners. He and his wife, Linda Booth Sweeney, are long-time Concord residents, and their three children have attended the Concord Public Schools.

Hanna Bruno

VICE Chair of the board of trustees 

Before taking a teaching position in Concord in 2009, Hanna worked in the Somerville Public Schools as the Physical Education for Progress grant coordinator. She has a BA from Williams College and an MEd from Boston University. Hanna is a Health & Fitness teacher and a METCO teacher at CCHS. She coaches Cross Country and Track & Field. She serves as a faculty advisor in both Student Government and the Boston Student Mentor Program and facilitates the Freshman Orientation Program. Hanna and her husband have a daughter and a son, both in the Concord school system. (Joined Board in 2017)

Marc Caruso

Trustee

Marc has lived in Concord for 25 years with his wife, Rebecca, and has three children in the Concord school system.  He earned a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University, which he was only able to do because of scholarships like those awarded by The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle, so the organization’s mission is a deeply personal one for him. Marc has spent his entire career in the technology industry, and is currently Chief Architect at Syntax, where he helps companies with digital transformation initiatives. He is an active member of the Concord-Carlisle community, and currently serves as the President of Concord-Carlisle Youth Basketball, as a Corporator of Emerson Hospital, and as an active volunteer with The Heritage Club. Maura Kenneally Clark

Trustee

A resident of Concord and graduate of Concord Middle School and CCHS, Maura holds a BA in English from St. Anselm College and a M.A. in Technical and Professional Writing from Northeastern University. Maura’s passion for writing transferred to a multi-decade career of positions where she where she has written for the defense, hardware/software, bio-tech, and cybersecurity industries. Currently, she works for AppDynamics, a subsidiary of Cisco Systems, a company not only renowned for its global technology presence, but its extensive commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and philanthropic initiatives. Maura serves on the board of the Concord Friends of the Aging and with her husband Paul, are the proud parents of Charlie (CCHS 2020) and Faith Marie, future CCHS (2024). Maura credits her husband with inspiring her to promote academics initiatives given his establishment of endowed scholarships at Kenyon College, St. Anselm College, and Stonehill College. Elaine DiCicco

Former Chair of the Board of Trustees

Concord's 2002 Honored Citizen, Elaine retired in June 2001 after twenty-two and a half years as the principal of Concord-Carlisle High School. Having joined the faculty at CCHS in 1967 as a foreign language teacher, her total years of service at the high school number thirty-four. During her years in education she was very active in several local, state and regional professional organizations, including the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, which accredits public and private schools in the New England states. Elaine is a lifelong resident of Concord, and Holy Family Parish in Concord. In addition to serving on the Board of Trustees, she has served as member and chair of Concord's Board of Registrars, and for several years was a Restorative Justice Circle leader with Communities for Restorative Justice based in Concord. Molly Q. Eberle

A former Director of Development for the Concord Free Public Library Corporation, Molly has also worked at Concord Academy, Wellesley College's Davis Museum, and The Fenn School. Her Board service has included Thoreau School's PTG, the Education Symposium, the Thoreau Farm Trust, and the Discovery Museum in Acton. She and her husband, Jeff, have lived in Concord more than 40 years, and their three grown children all attended Concord public schools.  (Joined Board in 1996)

Sandy is a graphic designer and illustrator who’s worked in PR, marketing and special events for over 20 years. She graduated from the University of Dayton with a BFA, major in Visual Communication Design and Illustration. Traveling to diverse locations as a military family, she has had the unique opportunity to live and work across the country, including Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio, to Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio Tx, and as a freelancer in the Boston, Washington DC, Alabama, and Illinois. Settling in Carlisle over 10 years ago, she has worked at Concord Art, served on multiple school, art, military and athletic boards, and contributed to set design for local theater. She and her husband Chris have 3 children that have all graduated from CCHS.

Devra Feshbach-Meriney

Devra got her MBA in nonprofit management at Boston University. While at home with her children she sat on the Board of Directors at Concord Children's Center, Friends of the Concord Free Public Library, and Kerem Shalom. She was a member of the CCHS Parent Association Grant Committee and the Kerem Shalom Geisinger Award Committee. In her career Devra has worked for numerous nonprofits in the Boston area. Currently she is the Human Resources Administrator at Nashoba Brooks School. Devra and her husband and three sons have lived in Concord for 25 years. (Joined Board in 2016)

David Gould

Trustee Emeritus

David spent his entire career helping students make the transition from secondary school to college. His career in college admissions spanned 35 years including 27 as Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at Brandeis University. He established Gould College Planning to assist applicants and their families in the application process. His wife, Kirsten, was a drama teacher at The Fenn School, and their two daughters benefited from a wonderful education at CCHS. (Joined Board in 2003 and appointed Trustee Emeritus in 2012)

Priscilla Guiney

ASSOCIATE Trustee

Priscilla completed her M.Ed. at Stanford and began her high school teaching career in the California public school system. A Massachusetts native, she returned in 1988 and taught Biology at CCHS for 30 years. Priscilla and her husband Pat raised their three children in Concord, all CCHS graduates, including Marielle ’06, Chris ’10 and Caitlin ’11. She currently works for the school district as a sustainability advisor while sharing her passion for the environment with students and the community. (Joined board in 2022)

Aaron Joncas is the Athletic Director at Concord-Carlisle High School. Prior to his role as AD, Aaron was the K-12 METCO Director for the Concord Public Schools and Concord-Carlisle High School. He holds a BA in American Studies from UMASS-Lowell and an M.Ed in Organizational and Professional Leadership from Endicott College. A Lowell native, Aaron lives in West Concord and is the proud father of two boys, Jalen CCHS ‘13 and Aaron CCHS ‘25.

Joe Laurin

Trustee

Joe is a Massachusetts native, who lives in Concord with his wife and twin sons. He holds a strong belief that education is foundational to breaking the cycle of poverty, dependence, and lack of full participation in our society among America’s disadvantaged youth. As such, he serves on the Board of Tenacity, a not-for-profit that supplements literacy and physical education for Boston Public School students. He has also been active in Boston Partners in Education and Edvestors. Joe is the COO of True Bearing Insights (TBI), a data science start-up focused on the commodities shipping space. Prior to joining TBI, he was the Co-Founder and President of Fidelity Health Marketplace, a private health exchange and subsidiary of Fidelity Investments. Earlier, Joe was Executive VP and head of strategy and consulting services for Fidelity Investments. Before joining Fidelity, Joe was a Principal at A.T. Kearney Management Consultants. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School and a BS in mechanical engineering from Union College. (Joined Board in 2020)

CHRIS LAW

Trustee

Chris has worked for and on behalf of non-profit organizations for over 30 years. Prior to founding NNE Marketing, a full service direct marketing agency dedicated to the nonprofit sector, Chris's last role was as Vice President, Marketing and Analytics for Thompson Habib Denison. Chris was a vital contributor to new business, brought innovative ideas to existing clients and played a key role in their success and growth. Chris also worked for 12 years at the United States Golf Association, most recently as Director of Membership and US Open Ticket Sales. 

Chris has spoken at numerous industry conferences and events. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Corporate Communication from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from the University of Massachusetts. When Chris isn’t knee deep in a spreadsheet, he can usually be found rooting for his beloved Boston-based sports teams, spending time with his wife and two children or lounging in any nearby hammock. BEE Loprete

SECRETARY OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Before moving to Concord in 1997, Bee Loprete taught English at Emma Willard School, The Taft School, and Lexington High School.  Bee began teaching English at CCHS in the fall of 2000, and served as department chair from 2008-2012. Bee and her husband AJ have a son and a daughter who have gone through the Concord Public Schools (Joined the board in 2012).

Guida Mattison

TRUSTEE

Guida teaches Middle School health and wellness at the Nashoba Brooks School in Concord and is the director of secondary school placement. She also serves as a Grade 7 homeroom teacher. A graduate of Dana Hall School and Union College, she also holds an M.Ed. from Boston College in education administration. Guida lives in Concord with her husband Scott and 2 children. Lucy Miller

TRUSTEE Emerita;
Former Chair of the Board of Trustees

Lucy Miller worked in higher education administration from graduation from Wellesley College in 1976 until fall 2008, including more than 7 years in the fields of admissions and financial aid; 19 years in development for MIT; and 2 in development for Harvard Medical School. In late 2008, she joined the Development Office at the Massachusetts General Hospital as a Senior Managing Director where she has had a broad range of responsibilities, including leading the $3B Campaign for Mass General since 2017. In Concord, she has been involved as a volunteer for Orchard House and was an officer of the Concord Carlisle Patrons of Performing Students (CCPOPS).  Her daughter, McCurdy, is a member of CCHS Class of ‘04 and of the Bryn Mawr College Class of ‘08.  (Joined Board in 2005 and appointed Trustee Emerita in 2021)

Travis Minor

Chair of board of Trustees

An alumnus of Concord-Carlisle High School, Travis began his career in education as a high school teacher in Philadelphia. In 2011 he returned to the Concord area to found his own tutoring business, Open Door Education. Travis has been an active member of community organizations in both Philadelphia and Concord, serving as a volunteer firefighter, a team leader with the AmeriCorps City Heroes program, and a member of Concord’s Chamber of Commerce. Travis earned his Master's in Education at Harvard University's Graduate School of Education in 2017. Travis and his wife Becca live in Acton. (Joined the Board in 2012)

Jessica Minty

ASSOCIATE Trustee

Jess grew up in Concord and lives there to this day with her husband Steve and two children, Elliot and Emma. She received her B.A. with honors in Economics from Colby College, which she was able to attend in part due to the generosity of the Scholarship Fund. Jess is a Senior Investment Advisor at Ballentine Partners, a wealth management firm focused on families. She is an avid runner, having qualified for the 2012 Olympic Marathon Trials. Jess assists her husband Steve Lane with the Adrian Martinez Classic, a track meet held at Emerson Field each year which consistently brings some of the country’s best runners to Concord and raises funds for the scholarship in their good friend Adrian’s name.

Albert L. Powers

Assistant Treasurer of the Board of Trustees

Al retired from the science faculty at CCHS where he taught chemistry and served as Science Department Chairperson. He is a recipient of the national Tandy Scholar for Excellence in Science Teaching award and was cited in 1995 by both Forbes and Time magazines as one of the nation's top 100 educators.  He has also been elected to the American Chemical Society's Aula Laudis Society in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of Chemical Education. Al served as President of the NH Science Teachers' Association and represented New England and New York as a Director of the National Science Teachers' Association, Washington, DC.  Locally, Al has served as a director of the Concord Carlisle Adult and Community Education Program. He lives in Carlisle and his three daughters, Holly (Motasky), Cherie (Higgins), and Heidi (Robinson) are all CCHS alumnae. (Joined Board in 1991)

Elaine Rabb

Trustee

Elaine has been an elementary and middle school educator for over 20 years, in both public and independent schools. Currently, she teaches Grade 8 English and is the middle school dean at Nashoba Brooks School. She is a 25 year member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, serves on The Robbins House Board of Directors, and is a proud graduate of Temple University (PA). She resides in Exeter, NH with her husband Marcus and daughter, Mingus. (Joined the Board in 2020)

Paul Ressler

Former Chair of the Board of Trustees

Paul is Principal of the consulting firm, The Cirrostratus Group, and previously held executive positions in operations and general management at Unica Corporation, Genuity, BBN and other high technology businesses. As an active volunteer, Paul has served on Concord Town Committees, and participated in several nonprofits in Concord. Through the Concord-based Jericho Road project, he provided leadership consulting to nonprofit organizations in Lowell. He has lived in Concord with his wife, Pam, since 1988 and their children, Kim (CCHS '01), Nick, and Jen (CCHS '08) have all attended Concord Public Schools. In 2005, the Resslers established the Nick Ressler Memorial Scholarship Fund in memory of their son, Nick, who would have graduated in 2005 from CCHS.  (Joined Board in 2005)

Thomas Rutledge

Associate Trustee

Tom is portfolio manager and head of origination for the fixed income team at Magnetar Capital, a $14-billion Chicago-based fund management company. He previously held positions in trading, structuring and research at JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch. His personal activities with start-ups include advisory roles and seed investments with several venture-backed companies, including Boston-bred names such as DataXu, Bevi, WEVO and Ekotrope. He also serves as board chair of GiveWell.org, a charity evaluator dedicated to helping donors decide where to give by finding outstanding giving opportunities and publishing the full details of its analysis. Before his Wall Street career, he was the New England business reporter at WBUR, the NPR affiliate in Boston, and won a New England Press Association award for feature writing. He was also a one-day champion on Jeopardy! He emcees the annual Emersong a cappella showcase benefitting Emerson Hospital and The Break-Even Show, a variety show series found periodically on stages around the northeast. Tom received an MBA (Applied Economics and Finance) from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA (English) from Amherst College. (Joined Board in 2009)

JUSTIN SILVERMAN

Associate Trustee

Justin lives in Concord with his wife Ashley and their 3 young kids. Both Justin and Ashley had the privilege of growing up in Concord and attending Concord Public Schools. He received his B.A with honors in Economics & Finance (History minor) from Bentley University and is a CFA® charterholder. Justin works in wealth management at Stifel, where he enjoys helping families invest and plan for the future. As a former CCHS Scholarship Fund recipient, Justin knows firsthand the positive impact the scholarship can have on young students.

Kathleen Snook

Trustee

Kathleen Snook is 23-year resident of Concord. Kathi received her BS in Engineering from the United States Military Academy, and her MA in Applied Mathematics and EdD in Curriculum and Teaching from Boston University. A former US Army Engineer officer, turned math professor, turned consultant and editor for development of math curricular and teacher support materials, she is the Director of the International High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling sponsored by COMAP, Inc. Kathi is a former member of the Concord and Concord-Carlisle School Committees. Kathi and her husband Scott have five children, all of whom attended the Concord Public Schools and the Concord-Carlisle High School. (Joined Board in 2020)

Priscilla White Sturges

Trustee

Priscilla was raised in Concord. She holds degrees from Pine Manor College, the Byam Shaw School of Drawing and Painting (London, England) and a BFA in Graphic Design from the Massachusetts College of Art.  Priscilla was an art director at the advertising agency Doerr Associates from 1981 to 1996 when she started the graphic design firm of Waterman Design. Priscilla served on the board of directors at the Concord Children's Center and volunteered extensively in the Concord public schools. Priscilla was involved with the Conantum Garden Club for over 25 years, serving as its secretary for 18 years. She served on the board of The Umbrella Community Arts Center for two, three-year terms, and continues to volunteer with the organization in many different capacities. Currently, she is on the board of The Friends of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery and is an administrator of the Doug White Memorial Sports and Recreation Fund. She lives in Concord with her husband, Howard. They have two daughters, Polly, CCHS class of ’04 and Phoebe, CCHS class of ’08.  (Joined Board in 2010)

INGRID SUTTER

Associate Trustee

Ingrid moved to Concord with her husband Steve in 1999 and taught English at CCHS for twenty-one years. Her son and daughter both went through the Concord Public Schools. Prior to teaching in Concord, Ingrid taught at Lexington High School. She earned her B.A. from Williams College and her M.Ed. from Harvard University. Now that she is retired, she enjoys cooking, reading, and hiking.
